Community Remembers Trooper Phillips’ Service
Trooper Hayden Phillips, known for his dedication and service to Kentucky, died in the line of duty on September 28 during a routine traffic stop. As the community mourns his loss, his legacy continues to inspire support and remembrance across the region and the nation.
Crosswired Creations Steps Up for the Phillips Family
Chris Cross, the owner of Crosswired Creations in Bowling Green, Kentucky, has taken action to support the trooper phillips family. By producing and selling memorial decals and shirts, Cross aims to help people remember the impact Phillips made as a public servant and to provide direct assistance to his loved ones.
A Project Grows Beyond Expectations
Initially, Cross began with a simple order for decals commemorating badge 369, but the project quickly expanded. "It was also a shock. I was like, 'wow these things are going fast,'" Cross said, describing how trooper phillips decals rapidly sold out within the first few days. Orders for the trooper phillips memorial items soon extended beyond Kentucky, reaching supporters nationwide.
Proceeds Benefit the Phillips Family
All proceeds from the sales of trooper phillips shirts and decals go directly to the Phillips family. Cross emphasized, "What's great is that everything we're doing, all the proceeds with these decals and everything we're doing with shirts and so forth are going to Hayden’s family. It's such an unimaginable loss for them. We're just trying to do a little something to help show support and continue on Hayden’s memory."
The Impact of a Fallen Hero
After attending Trooper Phillips’ funeral, Cross noted the overwhelming support from law enforcement personnel from Kentucky and surrounding states. He said, "It was just the most powerful thing. I hope I never have to do that again, but it was one of the most powerful things seeing the impact that Hayden made." Cross hopes every purchase — whether local, statewide, or national — demonstrates solidarity with the trooper phillips community and honors the trooper phillips legacy.
How to Support the Trooper Phillips Fundraiser
Supporters interested in participating in the trooper phillips fundraiser can purchase a memorial decal or shirt from Crosswired Creations’ website. Decals are priced at $10, with all proceeds benefiting the trooper's family. This ongoing effort enables the community and those across the nation to show trooper phillips support and continue honoring his dedicated service and sacrifice for Kentucky.
